Subject: Well, chris, if one were smart enough and had read enough early literatute, one would find that there are no original ideas left anyway--just variations on a theme. So, better that DB plagiarize his own work than someone else's. At least it works, since the ratings ARE so high. DB paid tribute to this notion when he had Bud reciting Star Trek episodes based on Shakespeare's work. "There is nothing new under the sun." so why not just bask in the warmth of an old favorite?
