I'm here at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville (dear old dad and I's annual trip), bopping around and having a grand old time. This morning, I decided to go buy a Taylor Swift shirt at the Big Machine Records booth before the mad rush for her meet 'n greet tomorrow. So, I'm standing there dutifully with my money in hand when my eyeballs fall upon a poster lying on the counter beside me. And what does it say?

Jack Ingram, Big Machine recording artist, will be filming a commercial in downtown Nashville tomorrow... with the cast of "Army Wives."

HOLY MOLEY!!!!!!!!!!!

But there's a catch: the filming starts at noon, right in the middle of the Taylor Swift meet 'n greet.

A girl shouldn't have to make these types of decisions.

Will let you know what happens... if I don't end up getting a ticket to meet Taylor Swift, I'll take it as being Fate's way of telling me that it's time to meet my hero of ten years. :-) Gosh, if only I had some of my "JAG" memorabilia for her to sign!

- I've only watched an episode here and there, but that�s it. The shows I'm watching are The Law & Order franchises, Brothers&Sisters, Life, LOST & Damages. I loved Eli Stone, but they canceled it. I haven�t watched Ghost Whisperer or Medium in a while. Another show I like but rarely watch is Saturday Night Lights. I liked the characters, but in the beginning they had that "filming style" they tried on JAG, with the camera moving all around, zooming in, zooming out. I just watched Boomerang, Part I and I think my failing eye sight caught something that I never recalled (NO, NOT the topless girls on the beach!!!) When Harm and Bud arrived, Mic was wearing Lieutenant Commander stripes on his shoulder boards, but when Mac arrived, they were full Commander stripes.         I still think that one of the funniest things I ever heard on JAG was on the other episode I watched Tuesday, Ghosts of Christmas Past. Trevor Goddard (R.I.P.) played the CAG and they either did a voice over or he faked his voice, but it was two octaves too low and so stiff it was as if he had a poker stuck (you know where), particularly when he went up to Anne-Marie Johnson and tried to "hit" on her as Diana Ross by telling her something like, "I'm a big fan of your people."         Oh my! I had forgotten that Harm had once smoked! It was weird to see him smoking there. He mentions Mac�s tattoo. I don�t remember them mentioning it in the last 4 or 5 seasons.         They made a big deal out of it when he quit, especially after he one a case where Trisha Yearwood presented him with a cigar and Mac said, "Oh no, Harm, don't!" as he put it in his mouth. Then, he bit it off and smacked his lips saying, "Hmm. chocolate." They all laughed. However, I can't remember the name of the episode. I think it was the one about Jimmy (Blackhorse?), the Navajo wind talker where Harm found his wife and son in New Zealand. OT - Monk aboard submarine -- Lucia ... gotta the Christmas greenery up!!, 08:39:59 11/24/08 Mon
I hardly ever watch Monk (my own quirkinesses are enough! LOL), but yesterday I was watching an ep where he investigates a murder aboard a Navy submarine and I kept thinking... We�ve seen some unrealistic stuff in JAG but this one takes the cake!! NCIS rules the death a suicide, but a lieutenant is not convinced and decides to call Monk's assistant (can�t remember her name...) and ask for help. Without the skipper�s permission - or even knowledge - they board the sub and start snooping around it!! Then, they have an emergency drill and Monk can�t leave the sub. No, really.............

Oh, we had a GREAT time!!!!! Got home yesterday. After walking for 7 days straight, we literally fell onto bed as soon as we got in and slept for four hours!

New York was packed, especially Times Square!! We could barely walk ON the sidewalks. They had to sort of widen it into part of the street. Still, you would bump into everyone! LOL The Christmas lights were just BEEEEAAAUUTIFUL!!!!!!

Anyway, the plan was for me to call Micky when we got to NYC, but we were stumped by the many codes you have to add to reach a number. So, as we couldn�t reach her on her cell, I left a message on her home phone letting her know we were at the Milford and we�d try calling again later. Only we forgot to say we were not AT the hotel but shopping at Macy's, actually. Poor Micky kept calling. LOL

After the little cat & mouse thing, we managed to figure out the codes and ... Voila! We were able to reach her on her cell. We agreed to meet at lobby to have breakfast together the next morning. I told her what we�d be wearing and she said, "Don�t worry. I�m very punctual and I�ll figure who you guys are." LOL Next morning we went down to the lobby a little before 9 and waited. I had sort of an idea of what she looked like from an old photo, but hubby was worried we might miss each other, so we kept looking... Then, I saw a very elegant lady standing by the revolving doors downstairs and when she looked at me she mouthed "Are you Lucia?" and I mouthed "You Micky?" LOLOL

After all and introduction to hubby, we went out. We decided to have breakfast at the Hard Rock cafe at Times Square. We talked about the old times on the boards and JAG and family. It was GREAT!!! Micky is as lively and upbeat in person as she always was here. We had a fabulous time! Hope to do that again!

So, let�s see... Gina? Check. Sis? Check. Iocandi? -remember her? - Check. Who�s next? LOLOL

On another note, after NYC we flew to Washington, D.C. We had never been there. We loved it too and we had a one-for-books moment! We had just taken our seats on the plane to Atlanta when we looked up and you won�t believe who was walking down the aisle greeting people and shaking hands. Jimmy Carter!!! ... ... I shook hands with an ex-president of the USA! How cool is that? Ok, I�ve washed it since! LOLOL Had it been Bill I might have swooned, though! LOLOLOL The camera was in the duffel bag. Darn! We had it with us the whole time BUT at that moment!!!

I was ready. Had my story (which I had to rehearse several times to make sure I didn't incriminate my somewhat guilty self) and was going to stick to it. I was NOT going to pay $227 for a speeding ticket!! Highway robbery!! I was going to be MAC, dammit!

I'm not totally ignorant. I read the sign on the door. No food or drinks, blah blah blah. Got it. Hid the drink in the purse. Nazi baliff told us to turn off the cell phones and pagers. Vibrate was as close as he was going to get. Now, technically, when one is using a Blackberry to check email - it shouldn't be considered a phone, should it? I think not. In this po-dunk, one-courtroom courthouse they tried civil cases first, then the jail guys (criminal?), and then comes traffic court. WTH? And then they go in friggin alphabetical order. I'm a "W". So they expect me to just sit there all that dead (to me) time twiddling my thumbs? Yes? Well okay, so that is what I was doing...on my Blackberry...till the Nazi loomed over me looking strangly like my third grade teacher, misnamed Mrs. Love, threatening to take it away if I don't put it away. I put it away, hastilly. Don't think my IT guy could fix that. Hoped the judge hadn't noticed. I still had dreams of being Mac for a minute.

When my turn.. er case came up I was given two options: come back for a real trial or pay the taxes and have the ticket dismissed. All that planning and plotting and all I got to say was "pay the taxes, Your Honor". Thank you. Next case. What a let down. LOL! Well at least it was less than $227.00. So, I did do a Mac kinda win - she often got those half-wins against Harm. LOL!

BTW, went to meeting this morning - had the Blackberry on the table. The phone of the woman sitting next to me started to ring. It was in the bottom of her purse and she couldn't get to it quickly. In her haste to jump up and take it outside she knocked over her bottled water. my gawd. Saved my baby just in the nick of time. I'm starting to think I need to go back to ye olde pen and paper.

I'M ENGAGED!!!

Yes, it's the same guy it's always been. :-) We just celebrated three years together, and he's decided to keep me. We've chosen a venue (a beautiful golf course close to his house) and a date: January 2, 2010.

I've missed each and every one of you, and I'm so sorry that I haven't kept in touch with you privately as I used to. Know that I think of you often and love you all!
