Subject: Well, what is everyone's take on LOST last night??
I'm curious, do you think Michael and Walt REALLY got to leave?
What happened to Locke and Eko, do you think they're goners? With the lid of the hatch blowing off the way it did, it certainly appears that they are but haven't heard anything about Locke and Eko being killed off so just wondering.
No wonder the "others" were so anxious to get Henry back, it appears that he was way up the food chain. Now, what do you suppose that they plan to do with Jack, Sawyer and Kate?

Jack, Kate and Sawyer had just had the hoods put over their heads when not only the lights went out for them, but the cable went out for me! The nearest storm was 50 miles tro the south so they don't even have that for an excuse! Well,Postrider, if it's any consulation, my cable worked fine and I was more lost at the end than when the episode started !! I feel like I can't even get up to get a glass of water without missing some critical piece of plot, without which NOTHING from that point on makes sense - LOL. It was too easy ... I donīt think Eko and Locke got killed but I think theyīll come back ... different somehow. I donīt know. Charlie couldnīt even explain what had happened in the hatch. So, did Libby lose it after losing her husband? I thought there was something weird about giving your late husbandīs boat to a complete stranger, didnīt you? Maybe that was the real reason she was committed? LOL
Desmondīs part of the story was intriguing. We never learned why he was discharged or why his 'never-to-be' father-in-law wanted to buy him off, but I think that will come up again sometime later. Anyway, how the heck did Penny know to look for an electromagnetic anomaly??? Whatīs this? The Bermuda Triangle??? LOL

Well, I think that they opened up another can of worms with the Des/Penny storyline. Maybe the never-to-be in-law is secretly funding the Dharma project, maybe that's how Penny knew about it. That part was really strange. If she knew where Des was then I'm curious why she didn't try to contact him. Wasn't he in the hatch for a year? I would be growing mold if I hadn't seen the sun in over a year, LOL I don't think that L/E are dead either. Who is going to go after J/K/S? the only "main" male characters left that we've seen are Charlie and Bernard, & Sayid. I donīt think Penny knows where he is (was?). I mean, I donīt think she knows the location of the island. Assuming Henry told Michael the truth, it is somehow hidden and there seems to be a specific way in and out. But she certainly knew what to look for (the electromagnetic anomaly). One of those two guys at the end says something about "missing it again" (they were speaking Portuguese, by the way). Let's talk about our intrepid Brazilian researchers being holed up in a blizzard in Tierra del Fuego looking for magnetic pulses...does that mean that the island is in the "way" South Pacific--like a "Shangri La" near Antarctica? ...before she went to the asylum and we saw her with Hurley, or was it that she became so after she lost her husband...or was she really a clinical psychologist, as she told Desmond who just "looked" crazy sitting in that chair when she might have been observing for Dharma? She didn't look as much as an observer as an inmate to me! Oh, and is "Mr. Big" Penny's father who owns the fictitious company running the ads during the last three episodes, and is he secretly funding the Dharma Initiative? Folks, this is good stuff, capable of being TJP worthy--keeping discussions going for a good, long time!

I hadn't thought of Penny's dad being the "Mr. Big", that is very interesting theory Postie and also interesting about other people being out there in the hatches. What I'm really curious about is why did the "others" want just Kate, Sawyer and the doc? It appears that they are doing some type of testing. Maybe K, S, & J were considered to be the strongest (because they've already had dealings with them in the jungle), so they are trying to separate them from the rest of the pack (good thing they haven't run into Sayid yet!). Or, maybe The Others are going to try to convince K, S & J that Dharma is the evil group and they, as break-away rebels, ARE the "good guys". Since they wanted "good" people, maybe they let Walt go, because they have found out that he is indeed, the "spawn of the devil"; so, to Walt, the Others aren't "bad" like the Losties perceived them to be, but in fact, ARE good?! That's why, to Walt, "they're not who they seem to be." could be valid, but it could also be because they are not really as bedraggled and living in grass huts as they appeared to be. -- Postrider. It seems that TPTB are going with the six degrees of whatever to make up this intriguing net of relationships. Maybe theyīll come up with a prophecy of some kind in which the baby is key? I don't how they keep this all straight to being with. I forgot about the J/C sibling thing too. Remember how we used to all go nuts about continuity with JAG? I thought the statue of the foot was a little on the bizare. I'm wondering if Walt's statement about not who they appear to be, to have something to do with the way they live and dress, that would tie in the fake beard and not being there in the huts when Sayid arrived. So I was expecting the finale to clear up a few things, ha! Talk about clear as mud.... So t he girlfriend has been trying to find Des, who I believe was in the hatch for 3 yrs. The electro-mag thing is intriguing. So the mysteries continue... just what will happen to Jack, Kate & Sawyer? Will Hurly make it back? Will Walt & his son?
