The program opened with flashbacks from earlier episodes including Irv's funeral service.

Ephraim's new girlfriend, Stephanie, was helping Delia with the dishes and talking about Delia's Bat Mitzvah. Delia invites Stephanie to her Bat Mitzvah. Delia's Bat Mitzvah reception is being held at the Carousel house.

Ephraim and Stephanie run into Amy. They also tell her that Stephanie has been invited to Delia's Bat Mitzvah.

Hannah goes to the kitchen at Nina's for coffee where she finds Nina busy packing. Nina, on a coffee overload, tells Hannah of the kiss between her and Andy. Nina also tells Hannah the Ephraim told her about the ring that Andy bought for her. Hannah wonders what the ring looks like.

Jake is waiting to get his deposit check back from Harold, after Harold's inspection of the office. Jake tells Edna good-bye and offers her a job in L.A.

Hannah and Nina sneak into Andy's house to see the engagement ring. Nina finds the ring. Hannah is just about to look at it when Andy comes home. Nina throws the ring to Hannah. Hannah runs downstairs to sidetrack Andy so that Nina can leave the house.

Hannah finds the ring box in her blouse and puts it on her dresser. Andy can't find the ring box. He calls Ephraim while he and Stephanie are out buying Delia's Bat Mitzvah gift. He will help his dad look for the ring when he gets home.

Harold treats Kathy, the patient with schizophrenia who recently had a baby and whose husband shortly afterwards. She is having trouble coping. Harold tells her that he promised her parents that he would always take care of her.

Amy goes see Hannah and has Hannah tell her that she does not like Ephraim.

Hannah goes for a walk with Bright at the mall. He tells her that he's sorry to hear that she did not get into the college of her choice. She tells Bright that she received her second letter from Notre Dame. A&M is also on the top of her list.


Jake finds the ring that Andy bought for Nina. Jake and Andy have the same conversation. Andy tells Jake that Jake can never love Nina they way he does. Jake, Nina and Sam leave for the airport. Nina takes one more look at Andy’s house. Nina and Jake have a heart to heart discussion at the airport, and they break up. Andy comes home for the Bat Mitzvah and finds Nina in his kitchen. She apologizes for being there, but she didn't have any place to go. Andy tells her that she where is suppose to be.

Delia has her Bat Mitzvah. At the reception, Amy sees Ephraim and Stephanie dancing. This upsets her, and she has too much to drink. Amy congratulates Delia on her becoming a woman. Ephraim gets a glass of water for Amy and takes away the wine glass. Ephraim and Amy start to dance to a fast song. That song ends and they dance to a slow one (there are definitely sparks).

Hannah helps Amy home. Hannah is staying the Abbott’s until she goes home for the summer.

Bright sees Stephanie leaving Ephraim's room in the morning. Bright thinks Ephraim made it with Stephanie. Ephraim told him it wasn't the right time. Ephraim starts asking about Amy and Bright puts two and to together. Ephraim is still hung up on Amy.

Hannah and Amy talk about Ephraim. Amy confesses that she is still in love with Ephraim. Now she just has to figure out how to tell Ephraim. She meets with Stephanie and tells her that she still has feelings for Ephraim, and that she needs to tell him that. Stephanie doesn't have a problem with that. She tells Amy that if Ephraim wants to get back with her she can't stop it, but she doesn't think Ephraim wants that.

While the Abbotts are eating breakfast, Bright goes to get the newspaper. He finds Kathy's baby Lily on the front step. The Abbotts take her in until they can find Kathy.

Hannah is trying to decide on her college choices. Bright listens to her pros and cons list.

Amy runs into Ephraim and Stephanie at the show. Amy and Stephanie play one up with each other. Ephraim has no clue why.

Harold goes to his mother's with the baby where he finds Edna packing for a trip to Africa. He later finds out that she was lying. He confronts Edna about her lie, and Edna tells him that she is having a hard time with Irv's death. Harold tells her to let the family help her.

Andy goes to New York to visit Julia's grave to tell her he is going to propose to Nina, and to thank Julia for their two children and to tell her a final good-bye.

Hannah and Bright go for a hike, and he tells her that she should go to Notre Dame. Because he cares for her, he doesn’t want to be selfish, and he knows that the will not get back together. He also tells her they will be best friends for life. Hannah sends in her registration to A&M where Bright, Hannah, and Ephraim will be attending.

Amy and her mother have a heart to heart talk about Ephraim. And her mother tells her that Amy will find a way to tell Ephraim that she still loves him. After several flashbacks about their friendship/relationship she finally has an idea, but needs her mother's help.

Harold and his wife have prepared a room for Edna. They ask her to move in and that they will need help with the baby. Edna accepts.

Andy proposes to Nina on the sport where he first met her. Nina says yes.

Amy is waiting outside Ephraim's apartment with a Farris wheel behind her. Ephraim calls Stephanie that he is running late. Ephraim exits his building to find Amy and the Farris wheel. Amy tells him that she still loves him and that she does not want to lose him again. He kisses her and tells her that he loves her, and that she is the one. He kisses her again. Then she asks if he want to ride the Farris wheel, and he replies in a minute and kisses her again. The camera pulls back and you see all of Everwood.

The End.

[> Im happy for this show. SO sad to see a good risky show get cancelled but a trashy show like One Tree Hill gets renewed by CW.
