Author: Lucia ... weīve got a cold front - finally!!!
Subject: OT: Wondering about other favorite shows...

1) Anyone here still watches LOST? This parallel world should make things interesting. It sort of reminds me of Sliders...LOL... I hope Locke hasnīt really died, though. Having Locke's evil lookalike wonder around is NOT the same.

2) It seems Law & Order - the original one - has decided to bring the personal trials and tribulations of the characters to the front burner, so to speak. Lt. Van buren's cancer will be a story arc this season. Hope they donīt kill her! I love her character.

[> I used to be a real fan of LOST until they started jumping around "worse" than Sliders. At least with Sliders, there was one jump to an episode (and I guess the "jump" back--which Quantum Leap never did-- which was the focus of the episode. Now, with LOST, at least the last time I watched early last season, "our heroes" had become "Others" one minute, Dharma's the next, back to "our Heroes" the next--it was unnecessarily confusing! So, they "lost" me. I like NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Chuck, Human Target, White Collar, and one of our favorites, Bones!!! (Harm and Mac would be proud of the UST Booth and Bones give us!!!) -- Postrider, who thinks that JAG is still the one!, 14:54:59 02/19/10 Fri

[> [> You like Chuck? Isnīt it that kinda slapstick secret agent show? I saw the debut ep of NCIS:LA in the original NCIS, which I now watch regularly, and I likes it. Chris O'Donnell's character doesnīt do much for me but I like LL Cool J. ITA that Bones is the closest thing to a H&M couple double right now, but I havenīt kept up. I caught an ep the other day only to find out that Angela is a lesbian...huh? ... Last I watched she was marrying Hodgins! -- Lucia ... who doesnīt think we will ever another show like JAG. Different times............, 07:09:30 02/21/10 Sun

[> [> [> Angela is just confused. She goes back and forth, but without much conviction, which is why I say she is just coinfused. She thought that she might be pregnant (by one of the techs they use with whom she was having an affair), and Hodgins stepped up and said that he'd take care of her baby. She seemed touched--like she still harbors feelings for Hodgins; but, she was a false positive on the test strip, so now we're back to square one. I think she just "needs" (and I'm not sure if it is "needs to be needed" or is just "needy"). Chuck isn't "all slapstick", but it is light-hearted at times, with a little "dramedy" thrown in for good measure. It's just "kinda fun". -- Postrider, who thinks that in these times, "kinda fun" escapism helps..., 18:06:04 02/21/10 Sun

[> [> [> [> I have to agree about the "kinda fun". Just now hubby and I were zapping the channels and...zilch! Nothing good to see! So many channels. Itīs unnerving! As to Bones, I donīt know about Angela, but Iīm certainly confused...LOL... Hodgins is a sweetheart, and so is Angela, but the whole lesbian thing was a 180 from the so-in-love couple they had been when I watched! It seems like TPTB decided the show needed more hype - sounds familiar? - and someone said "Oh, how about turning Zack into a serial killer and Angela a lesbian?". At least they haven't messed up B&B UST. -- Lucia... Oh, and that was after they had forget she was already married? Nothing new on TV land............., 18:41:25 02/21/10 Sun

[> I confess that I completely lost interests in TV after JAG was over!!! Watched the first two seasons of Grey's anatomy. -- Acer, 02:13:40 02/20/10 Sat

[> I feel the same way Acer. I cant imagine my TV life before from Frasier,Everybody Loves Raymond,West Wing,Alias,Jag,Felicity,The Agency,MI-5,The Sopranos,ER,Third Watch,Gilmore girls,Angel and now Im just down to channel surfing American idol and The Office when I feel like it.TV is not the same for me these days. -- Mimi, 14:59:05 02/20/10 Sat

[> How can I forget Friends? I used to watch Lost but I quite when JJ Abrams left. The show is never the same once he leaves the show and I saw that with Felicity,Alias and Lost. These days he is so busy with the movies from the Mission Impossible franchise,Cloverfield, and how he inspired Star Trek again. -- Mimi, 15:01:39 02/20/10 Sat

[> [> I didnīt know he had left. I agree that at a certain point, the plot became waaayyyy too convoluted with TOO many answered questions. But, all in all, Iīd say LOST's TPTB managed to untangle themselves of that web better than Heroes' TPTB. -- Lucia... Oh, and that cold front ? Didnīt last a day! Weīre back to hot, hot, hot!!, 07:17:48 02/21/10 Sun

[> [> I like Friends, too. I have DVDs for many seasons. Somehow, I felt like I am stuck in the 1990s in terms of TV! -- Acer, 06:21:12 02/22/10 Mon

[> I dont watch shows the way I did in the past too. Im more into ESPN and Fox News while I had to suffer when my girlfriend has to watch Dancing with the Stars. I sometimes watch CSI NY because Im a fan of Gary Sinise. My gf loves Army Wives so I dont whine about that because at least I get to see Bell. -- gamin, 15:44:08 03/03/10 Wed
