Subject: Back home!!

Oh, we had a GREAT time!!!!! Got home yesterday. After walking for 7 days straight, we literally fell onto bed as soon as we got in and slept for four hours!

New York was packed, especially Times Square!! We could barely walk ON the sidewalks. They had to sort of widen it into part of the street. Still, you would bump into everyone! LOL The Christmas lights were just BEEEEAAAUUTIFUL!!!!!!

Anyway, the plan was for me to call Micky when we got to NYC, but we were stumped by the many codes you have to add to reach a number. So, as we couldn´t reach her on her cell, I left a message on her home phone letting her know we were at the Milford and we´d try calling again later. Only we forgot to say we were not AT the hotel but shopping at Macy's, actually. Poor Micky kept calling. LOL

After the little cat & mouse thing, we managed to figure out the codes and ... Voila! We were able to reach her on her cell. We agreed to meet at lobby to have breakfast together the next morning. I told her what we´d be wearing and she said, "Don´t worry. I´m very punctual and I´ll figure who you guys are." LOL Next morning we went down to the lobby a little before 9 and waited. I had sort of an idea of what she looked like from an old photo, but hubby was worried we might miss each other, so we kept looking... Then, I saw a very elegant lady standing by the revolving doors downstairs and when she looked at me she mouthed "Are you Lucia?" and I mouthed "You Micky?" LOLOL

After all and introduction to hubby, we went out. We decided to have breakfast at the Hard Rock cafe at Times Square. We talked about the old times on the boards and JAG and family. It was GREAT!!! Micky is as lively and upbeat in person as she always was here. We had a fabulous time! Hope to do that again!

So, let´s see... Gina? Check. Sis? Check. Iocandi? -remember her? - Check. Who´s next? LOLOL

On another note, after NYC we flew to Washington, D.C. We had never been there. We loved it too and we had a one-for-books moment! We had just taken our seats on the plane to Atlanta when we looked up and you won´t believe who was walking down the aisle greeting people and shaking hands. Jimmy Carter!!! ... ... I shook hands with an ex-president of the USA! How cool is that? Ok, I´ve washed it since! LOLOL Had it been Bill I might have swooned, though! LOLOLOL The camera was in the duffel bag. Darn! We had it with us the whole time BUT at that moment!!!

I´ll post a picture of our breakfast together inside.

I even checked in Dec. for some last minute arrangement. Nothing, of course. But wow, it sounds like you had a great time. SOOo good to hear from you. I am ok. Getting my 19th surgery in 2 weeks.
