[> I have taped Close to Home at least 3 times but have yet to watch. I don't know why, but I just can't get excited about DJE being in this show plus from what I've read about it. Is anyone watching Men in Trees? I'm not a big fan of AH and I wasn't a watcher but this show has caught my attention. -- janette, 12:16:14 10/09/06 Mon

[> [> I meant to say a "watcher of Northern Exposure". Men in Trees is said to be a lot like NE but I can't compare since I didn't watch it. The episode where she was sprayed by the shunk was funny. -- janette, 12:18:12 10/09/06 Mon

[> [> [> Hey Jan!!.....Nothern Exposure was one of my all time favorite shows....I Have been watching Men In Trees from the begining and I really love it....But I fear it may have a short life...The reviews compared it to Northern Exposure in not so flattering tones....But I think it's quirky enough on its own and if you begin to watch it you'll find it endearing , funny and sweet on it's own merit. -- Micky, 13:09:21 10/09/06 Mon

[> [> [> [> It was one of mine, too! Well, it DID have Janine Turner in it, after all! I have been watching Men in Trees and find it quirky like NE. I agree with Micky, but would add that I think there are a lot of shows this year that SHOULD have a short life. Enjoy it while you can, Jan and Micky. -- Postrider, not a Close to Home fan with or without DJE., 18:08:46 10/09/06 Mon

[> [> [> [> [> I am Not a "Cold Case" fan either....regardless of DJE...There are soo many new shows this year that haven't pulled me in....I am understanding the "Buzz" though..on some of them...YOU WILL like this show...I suspect some have pretty heavy backing and will be "pushed" ...It's too bad because Some of the new shows have Talented actors I admire...from other series.....I won't presume to list the ones I dislike but If someone mentions one...well ..I'm Irish and opening ones mouth and inserting foot... goes with the territory -- micky..Who Loves YA??!!, 09:11:52 10/10/06 Tue

[> I saw that and thought it was neat. However, since they had no scenes together, you wonder if they even saw each other on set that day. I thought DJE's role would be bigger, but maybe they're testing how the audience likes him or something. CB on there would be cool but only if she has scenes w/ DJE. I have a feeling they won't do that ... at least not for a long time. Has anyone seen the actress (Kristin W. I think) who played the Romanian princess in "Washington Holiday" on Desp. Housewives? She's playing a more than slightly wacky character ... mom of Tom's newly found daughter. -- Sunny, 12:56:21 10/10/06 Tue

[> [> Forgot to add that I like Close to Home ... but that's because I used to watch it before, not just after DJE joined. Also, I like Men in Trees. I might have seen one ep. of North. Exp. and didn't like it, but I was a kid at the time. I don't think it's fair to compare shows. Has anyone been watching Runaways on the former WB? It's interesting, at least for now. The actress who plays the daughter seems familiar, but I can't place where I've seen her before. She kinda resembles Kristin W. mentioned above. -- Sunny, 13:02:08 10/10/06 Tue

[> I taped Close to Home. Saw Sturgis and wanted him to go up against Harm in court. Then I remembered that he wasn't Strugis and that the gorgeous hunk wasn't Harm, and then I had to make myself keep watching because I want to believe that one day the characters will touch me and I'll like the show. -- run-on-sentenceCarrotts, 13:01:08 10/10/06 Tue

[> [> My main problem with Close to Home is the lead actress. She does nothing for me, nothing at all. I see no chemistry on the show between any of the characters. I like DJE, but it's a real chore to watch the show and don't think I will be able to keep it up, unless it greatly improves, even for DJE. -- Heather, 14:08:22 10/10/06 Tue

[> [> [> I think that's it. I see no chemistry - no where. No girlfriend/co-worker, or guy/partner chemistry. Not even a little "our new boss is an out-sider so let's band together to initiate him" chemistry....but then again maybe that sort of thing only goes in my office area Maybe we have a little too much ~~cough~~ chemistry. -- Carrotts, 15:54:40 10/10/06 Tue

[> [> [> [> I never liked the show even before DJE so yes its all about DJE droolness when I can watch it but as much as I want CB opposite DJE again but Im hoping for a better show or new telemovie. -- Gretchen, 23:38:28 10/11/06 Wed

[> [> [> [> [> I havenīt seen the new season yet so I can say how much, if anything, the dynamics of the show has changed. Iīve enjoyed the epīs but itīs not like "must-see" to me. I guess Iīd agree thereīs a lack of chemistry in general, but the show has only had one season. Another reason TPTB killed off the husband, IMO. It was just too neat! Of course, some shows have instant chemistry (Bones, for example), but other shows take longer to get that going. Anyway, letīs see if Iīll change my mind when I actually see it. -- Lucia, 21:45:25 10/14/06 Sat
