It came directly out of the north and had a gust wall of straight line winds of 80+ mph slightly ahead of it., and then developed a tornado just south of St. Louis. There are almost 500,000 homes without power, but ours isn't one of them. The stables came through without any damage, some five miles north of me, so Cinnamon is just fine; but, we didn't receive more than a thimbleful of rain--and we NEED rain! To top it off, we are expecting temps of 102 today, so people are looking for cooling stations to be set up--for both man AND beast! -- Postrider, who isn't a meterologist, but almost had to stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!, 11:56:04 07/20/06 Thu
