Subject: Hey guys while I'm sitting here recouperating (what?) I have a question:

I know that Harm and Mac couldn't continue to work together after they got together because of the UCMJ and those pesky laywer/client type rules - BUT if they could still work together do you think it would work?

Well I got to thinking. My Dad was my Mom's boss. Now they were the boring never argue in front of the kids type, and what went on at the office stayed at the office (as far as I know). But I have heard a story of the time Dad put Mom and her best friend out of a meeting once because they got the giggles during another co-workers presentation. I do believe stern words were said and I'm sure people wanted to be a fly on the wall at our house that evening. Well I was the fly and I can tell ya, NADA. Didn't even hear of the incident till I got grown and even then it wasn't the parents who told me.

On the other hand here at work a few years ago we had a case where the husband was the boss of the wife's boss. Day to day they didn't have much interaction, of course, but every once in a while we had these Board meetings where the husband was the Chairman of the Board, the wife's boss sat on the Board, and the wife was a support person attending the board meeting. One time in particular the Chairman (husband) asked the wife (support person) if she had done a particular task and stated specifically "I want a yes or no answer (which meant he already knew the answer) Did you do it?" Well, the wife didn't want to answer yes or no - which meant no, LOL. She wanted to explain. She'd start explaining. He'd interrupt with a "I said yes or no!" She'd say it isn't that simple. He'd say simply say yes or no. They went back and forth for a while till finally the husband turned to the wife's boss and said "Joe-blow could you please instruct your employee to give me a yes or no answer?" The poor boss/employee was smart enough to not want to get in the middle of that! He just bowed his head and said "Mel, please!" LOLOL! Mel glared at her husband and said "no!" Want to know what the rest of us on the Board were doing during all this? Staying very quiet, very still, and laying low....real low. LOL! Now I don't know how well they seperated work from home, but I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall in Mel and The Chairman's home that night. I can betch-a the fact that I'm sure Mel had a little time in her boss' office before she got home that evening didn't help matters. LOLOL!

So back to my question. See I remember I had one. LOL! Knowing how Harm and Mac could go at it - and that sometimes it did spill over away from the office (think Bud and Harriett's open house) - do you think they could make it work?

And how was that for going around Jake's barn to ask a question? LOLOL! Sorry.

Oh, and by the way I think they would make it work, but there would definitely be fireworks.

[> That was quite a scene! LOLOL Hubby and I have worked together in the same department and we were able to make it work, but it can be hard sometimes, IŽll tell you that. H&M had been on opposing camps and butted heads many times, but I think they understood they both had a job to do. Anyway, they already got in way over their heads when it got to close to home, so I donŽt think working together as a married would have made much of a difference. -- Lucia ... hoping Voy wonŽt turn into a pumpkin again today ..., 07:09:42 08/04/06 Fri
