Subject: I have Fri-Mon off. I'm planning to have a barbecue on Sunday, but will do all LC foods (including dessert). The friends that we invited over know that we are LCing and are very supportive of our WOE. They aren't quite ready to make the switch yet (he still does SlimFast), but they are interested in learning more about it. I think that making great tasting food that is allowed on our plan is one of the best forms of "advertisement" that I can do.

  • Lots of Low-carb foods can be made for parties- try a cheese cube plate, party meatballs, chicken wings with blue cheese dressing, crab dip with cucumber and squash slices (to act like crackers), fresh vegetable platter with dip, barbecued chicken legs, deviled eggs, bowl of nuts, homemade ice cream (use splenda instead of sugar)... • We're back on induction, so I'm going to do bbq chicken quarters (marinated in something low/no carb), coleslaw with SF dressing, SF jello and cream, devilled eggs, and a relish/veggie tray. I'm going for SIMPLE. (NT) -- Katie, 08:23:56 05/22/02 Wed
