Hey welcome to the board and to our very supportive group! Just for info, I lived my entire teen years as a very overweight girl. I wasn't involved in sports or anything with discipline because I was embarrassed and ashamed of my body. This made it even more easy to isolate myself from my peers and overeat. I hope this isn't happening to you.

If I had to do it all over again (sigh), I would get out there and be social & do all the fun stuff that others were doing -- no matter what my body looked like. Not everyone would have accepted me (kids can be so superficial sometimes), but I'm sure some would have. It would have given me a different outlet besides food, and I wouldn't have suffered as much as an overweight teen and perhaps I would have slimmed down earlier. Please do yourself a favor hon and stay active. Keep yourself occupied so you don't turn to food as a friend. I still suffer from being overweight to this day (although I've lost a lot already), and I want you to know that I understand how it feels. If you ever need to talk or whatever, feel free to email me.
