Subject: That isn't the sort of whining...
In reply to: Kel 's message, "Thanks everyone for your concern. I feel like such a whiner. I'm starting to be able to get around my apartment pretty good, but I'm walking barefoot on carpet & that's a lot different. When I try to go down my stairs, I have to fight back the tears still. I'm going to go to the health food store today (if I can get down the stairs lol), and look for that glutamine stuff. Thanks for the info!" on 07:42:30 08/30/02 Fri

That I consider to be whining. If you hurt yourself, you need help. I remember when I did those standing calf raises the first time! OUCH, could barely walk. So I know what you are talking about. I THINK I've used most of my muscles enough that I won't be feeling that kind of achyness anytime soon, but I guess just one unfamiliar move, might prove me wrong on that.

I was kind of surprised it happened to you, since you have been working out, but I guess that proves it can probably happen to me too. I noticed the other day doing a new excercise for triceps that it felt like I was using a muscle for the first time. I'm not sore afterwards, but maybe if I had done enough of them I would be.

Anyway that glutamine stuff sounds useful. Let me know if it seems to help.
