For the constipation I recommend a product called Per Diem. It is a natural fiber laxative. On this diet if you don't eat enough veggys, salads, and drink enough water you can need more fiber.

For the other problem? It sounds like you might have gall stones. Oils and fats are actually good for your gall bladder to keep it from getting stones, but if you've been following a low fat diet for a long time, you may already have them. And once you have them a lot of fat in your diet can make them become painful.

I'm not sure exactly how that happens, maybe the fat help to try and make the stones pass out of the gall bladder and that passing is what hurts. But then I'm not a doctor, I'm just going by things I've read. Why don't you look up gall stones in a search engine on the net and see if what you come up with sounds like the symptoms you are having.

Most doctors recommend a "low fat" diet for people with gall stones. (It is probably what caused the problem to begin with, but like I said once it is there...)
