Hi Michael, I am following the Carbohydrate Addicts Diet by Drs. Hellers of Mount Sinai Hostipal NYC. I've been LC for three weeks now and have lost about ten pounds. First thing you should know is that Fast Foods are loaded with hidden carbs. If you stay to the green salads and chicken at most fast food joints,that would still have you eating about seven to ten carbs! Pre-prepared foods have sugars from the curing processes. The best advice you will learn from this forum is to research and make yourself aware of the different ways to go about eatting the low carb way. Shara home page has plenty of good advice, it has helped me alot. good luck
