You are an inspiration. I too have often walked away from a workout feeling wonderful. Right now I have that same nasty TOM visting me, and working out isn't something I feel up to at the moment, but maybe tomorrow after reading your post.

Today my son and I worked almost all day on his car. We are very amature and inexperienced auto mechanics (both of us) but we bought a book and are trying to figure out how to change his head gasket so that he can drive the car again. We have made significant progress with taking the car apart, but still need to figure out a few more things. (What else needs to be disconnected before we can lift the head off). And then there is always the really big question. Are we going to be able to put it all back together again?

So that took up most of my day, and I didn't eat right or excercise today. Tomorrow may be more of the same, but I'll try to get my workout in early.

Anyway good job on pushing yourself to work out when you didn't feel like it. I remember so many times when I used to lift at the gym, I would go right after work, and some days I would sit in the car for a half hour or more trying to convince myself to go into the gym. I kept telling myself "you know you will feel fantastic when you get through!" Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, but I do remember that having to push myself thing.

Now I work out in my basement which makes it a little easier, I can do it any time of day or night, but it still requires a little push to go down the stairs to the workout area.

  • Is this the first time you've felt the "exercise endorphins" in 2 months of working out? I have to say I never feel them w/ weight bearing exercise; but maybe if I will in a couple of months, that is encouraging. (NT) -- Kel, 06:25:03 08/25/02 Sun
