Subject: They do go away in time...
In reply to: kim 's message, "soft and flabby!" on 18:19:32 08/29/02 Thu

They will go away. I thought the same thing when I was losing, but I found out that it was just more fat under the skin. You are losing so it is not as solid as it was. I know this sounds depressing, but there is good news. Your skin will go back to normal in time as you continue to lose weight. Our bodies have an amazing ability to stuff it just about everywhere it can find a spot. After some study on the subject (I was considering plastic surgery), I read articles about how people who were in concentration camps never having the "loose skin" syndrome on release. That was because their bodies had lost all excess fat and the skin shrunk toward the bone. I know that this is not a great way of using an example, but it is a sound theory. My concern now is stretch marks. I found the Nivea cream very helpful and they are fading.
