Subject: My SO eats a lot of hot dogs and sausages. Nitrates are bad for other health reasons, but they don't affect the weight loss of most people. My SO has gone from a size 56 waist to a 48 in 6 months. Besides, face it. They're easy and you're more likely to stick to your diet if it's convenient for you. BTW, the hamburger patties don't usually have nitrates, just make sure they are 100% pure beef.
