Subject: Question

I have been thinking on & off for a month or so of starting low-carb. I need to lose about 25-30 pounds and it's just not coming off with watching my portions, calories, etc. The only thing is, I have a friend who started Atkins back in February...she lost 30 pounds very quickly and has stayed with this WOE religiously since then - keeping her carbs around 30 or so day. However, she hasn't lost any more weight since the beginning of April, and I know positively that she isn't cheating. She's decided to give up completely and try Weight Watchers. Now, my question is: Is this normal? This seems to me to be much longer than a stall. Does low carb work for everybody? Any help would be appreciated - I have learned a lot from reading posts on this forum.
