I've been doing atkins for 7 weeks, and between the first and second week the same thing happpened to me.When i woke up in the morning i felt like my heart was going to beat right out of my chest.(and it continued on and off for almost a week)I went to my dr. and had some tests done to see if i was lacking in potassium levels or anything else and the tests came back saying i wasnt low in anything. And after about 3 or 4 days they stopped.I really believe it was just the withdrawls from all the carbs and sugar i was used to eating. It really doesnt hurt to go get yourself checked out,if only for your peace of mind. But whatever you do, dont stop the diet.If it continues,go see your dr.But in my opinion it'll stop real soon.Good luck and keep up the good work, things are only going to get better!
