the "fat fast" is found in Dr. Atkins book on page 272. It's in the chapter on Metabolic Resistance (CH.20). It's a controlled carb program where you count calories and the menu is foods that are high in fat content and lo in carbs.
here are some of the things on the menu:
. one ounce of macadamia nuts
. 2 ounces of cream cheese or Brie
. one ounce of tuna or chicken salad with 2 teaspoon of mayonaise with 1/4 of an avocado on the side
. 2 deviled eggs made with 2 teaspoon of mayonaise
. two and a half ounces of heavy whipped cream topped with sucralose 0-calorie syrup
. 2 hard-boiled egg yolks witha tablespoon of mayonaise

These are just a few of the things on the menu that I used and I also made sure I did my EFA's (flax seed oil and olive oil-1 tbs 3x per day,alternating one or the other). I hope this is not confusing,but I have very dry skin and I take my oils no matter what and plus they are good fats. Something worked. It pushed my weight over the hump I've been on for a month. Don't forget the vitamins,supplements and water(you have to drink water). Get the book, you will get a better understanding of when and how to do the fast.
