In reply to: Katie 's message, "Hey Kel! Whatever happened with the co-worker that you told off?" on 09:49:31 06/08/02 Sat

My boss feels like its no big deal; I feel differently. I WAS willing to let it go as a hormonal moment for the both of us (me and my co-worker), but then my boss listened to her side of it and I'm angry all over again because the girl lied so bad about what really happened. Not only that, but I feel it's unfair that she got to tell her story to MY boss, yet I didn't get to tell mine to HER boss. Bottom line is that none of the bosses want to deal with such a petty issue and they feel that there are 3 sides to the story -- hers, mine and what really happened. Unfortunately there is no way to prove that my side IS what really happened, and the supervisors don't feel it's important enough to ask witnesses who's telling the truth - they just want it all to go away. So from now on when that girl speaks to me, I'm going to tell her that I will not be talking to her unless there is a supervisor present, since obviously she cannot tell the truth about any disagreement we might have. At least if there is a supervisor present, there will be no question as to what was said and I won't have to defend myself. Too bad it has to be that way, but oh well; the boss's choice, not mine.

Thanks for asking Katie, as you can see, it's still a bit of a sore spot for me, but I'm dealing with it. Luckily I've had a couple days off since then and I went out on Thursday night to unwind. Ended up meeting up with some old friends, got drunk and played darts til midnight lol. I'm sure it didn't do any wonders for my scale weight, but hey, we're not looking at the scale for a couple weeks anyway right?? I'm with ya on that one -- it's just become too discouraging for me lately, so yeah -- lets get on with our plans and not look at the darn thing for a couple weeks. I'm in!!
