Subject: Welcome to the group! Most new Mothers use the fat that is stored during pregnancy to produce breastmilk. You need additional calories (and fat) while you are breastfeeding and 8+ glasses of water a day. If you have a good milk supply you could diet. Start with no less than 50 carbs a day and be aware of your body signs, if your hungry, eat. Cutting down your sugar intake is good, it gives the baby the same empty calories it gives you. Let us know about your progress!
