I'm one of those lactose people too. Gotta tell ya it's a pain in the tushie when people suggest "eat cheese cubes" or make "psuedo pizza". I can eat yogurt okay, but cheese I have to be really careful with. I've made the psuedo pizza & it tasted great, but it really did a number on my stomach. I will only try that again if I'm DYING for the taste of pizza...

Sometimes the first few days on a LC diet will make you feel a little puny. Weakness and lightheadedness is what I always experience. Most of the popular LC books will tell you to be ready to expect similar symptoms, but these symptoms are only temporary. Give it about 3 days to a week to run it's course. Afterwards, you will feel great!...

Anyway, with all of the problems you describe, I think it would benefit you to read "The Schwarzbien Principle" by Dr. Diana Schwarzbien. Her LC diet WOE provides a sound approach, while still allowing more carbs than the radical Atkins diet. Her thing is all natural stuff (not shakes & bars, etc.) will help you lose weight while it helps your body heal from other problems made worse by a poor diet for so many years. I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavors. Keep posting your progress and let us know how you are!
