Good to have you with us. We are essentially two groups. This one is simply a message board and chat area, but we have another board we use on yahoo. Shara moderates this board, Nancy is moderator on the other. We all met here, but go there to take advantage of the databases etc.

You have to sign up and have a Yahoo Id to use the other board, but it is free and easy to do. We have a database area there where we post our Challenge results, our weigh in days are Saturday and Tuesday. We have several ways of checking progress, there is an "inches lost" area if you want to measure rather than just weigh. There is a weekly weight average area (for charting general trends) and a mini-goal database for setting goals and then seeing if you can meet them. Plus there is an area for files, recipes and more posts.

Before we had that board people often posted their stats here in the form of beginning weight/present weight/goal weight at the end of thier posts. In my case that would look like this 282/229/169.

I really like the other site because it is a little more intimate, just a few of us there and most of us involved in the June challenge.

Our challenges all started as "No Cheat" challenges. We set out to spend the whole month without cheating on the diet. Kel changed the name to "No stopping Us" challenge when it seemed that a lot of us did cheat at least once within the month, to allow a little forgiveness and the incentive to get right back on track after any little slip ups.

In some ways it has lost it's focus in other ways it is easier to stay committed even if you aren't 100% perfect about it.

Anyway welcome aboard. I have been here on this board about two years now, some others have been here about as long, but we have some new people too. The other board we've only been using for about three or four months, but it is a handy tool.

I've lost 53 pounds since starting low carb. I tend to lose focus a lot after over two years of living this way, but I am still trying and struggling to lose the rest. Some here have done better than me, others not as well, but we are all on this journey together. Welcome aboard.
