It is not so much a matter of copyright infringement as it is a matter of breaking away from the World which Anne created. Is it legally permitted? Yes, it is, but my concerns do not rest there. My thoughts fall upon the fact that we roleplay the World of Pern because we love what Anne has made... and if we change too much of it, are we truly writing of Pern anymore?

Hmm... if Nitesun really doesn't like the idea of having a special blue, I'm not opposed to a vote. If the majority of New Islers wish for such drastic changes to add to those minor ones we've already we made, well, you're right, it's not illegal anymore, and I'm okay with it... to a point. I just really really would just prefer if Nitesun would take a large blue for her Ash, maintaining her character's uniqueness, and not stretching the canon limits quite so far. But we'll wait to hear from Nitesun I suppose. ^_^
