No! The large green was more excited than her rider. Cat carefully sorted the harness out, checking she had all the necessary straps attached to the main circle.
We’re missing one. She muttered.
Then get a new one, Catling! The dragon responded.
Obedient to her dragon’s wish, Cat fetched a new harness, one that was supple and had all the right parts. Ready?
The dragon braced herself. Cat swung the harness over her dragon’s neck, and fastened the straps with deft, brown fingers. Next went her, over the shoulder to sit on Beneveloth’s neck. She had to shorten the waist-strap considerably, but she was finally secure. The large green dragon moved carefully around the Perches.
We’ll fly soon!
