The word boyfriend scares me.

This is probably because half... no, wait; all the guys at my school are jerks. Or idiots. Or idiotic jerks. Or jerks with an idiotic sense of humor. Or idiots who happen to act like jerks some of the time. Except, of course, for the quiet ones, but they seem to follow the crowd and it's incredibly hard to pick them out. *Sigh* Why do all the good ones have to do that following thing?

But anyway... enough about my small-town dilemmas, more about the topic! You've seen my internet characters, no? Then it should be obvious that I don't look for internet love. At all. In fact, when I create a character it's usually to stop online relationships. Perhaps this is because I live out in the country, where we are constantly afraid of being molested on some dirt road or having the police be off-duty when a burglar strikes.

I'm serious. Our police department closes down and all the coppers go home at nine. Some protection.

So I'm biased in that way, I suppose. Err... what is MUD? And Furcadia? The latter sounds familiar, but the former doesn't ring a bell. I don’t think that it makes us nerds, just brains. The people who go online to download music, swear at everybody, complain a bit about how much their parents hate them (despite the reality), and then log off and listen to the music, swear, and continue to complain at everybody would never think themselves geeks. Those of us who manage to have a good time playing “advanced pretend”, as I like to call it, and boosting our imaginations while building a solid foundation of vocabulary and spelling…. Well, I guess they could call us nerds, but I’d just probably call them ignoramus, illiterate, not to mention imbecilic, twits who deserve no other title than moron. At least, that’s what I said when they teased me. They didn’t tease me again.

*Pats Kay on the back* You won't grow up to be an old maid! Unless you want to, but that's not really the feeling I got from your post. I don't really care if I marry or not, so long as it's with a suitable match who I can trust. Trust is important. *Nods and hands Kay, Kain, and Sushi baloney sandwiches* Sorry, I ate the cookies. ^^
