Subject: It's like one of those Magic Eye pictures..you have to stare at the sand before the bones appear. That's what the dictionary says? Anatosaurus is the former, obsolete name of Edmontosaurus, they surely could swim but there's little evidence that their lifestyles were overwhelmingly amphibious, and the webbed feet is based on an outdated observation of flattened mummified tissue that more likely made up toe padding than toe webbing...Jesus! Come on, Miriam-Webster, don't drop the ball.
In reply to: I Am Mortal 's message, "Hadrosaur: Any of various amphibious dinosaurs of the genus Anatosaurus and related genera that had webbed feet and a ducklike bill. In case anyone else is as stupid as I am but was too lazy to look it up" on 00:09:09 08/25/05 Thu
