Hitting is hitting, there's no difference between it coming from an alcoholic or a normal person, or the other type of wife-beaters. Just cause he does it less means nothing, I could be wrong and he could do it more often than I think. My dad, even though I dislike him, has NEVER hit my mom once in the, um, 26(?) years they've been married. Between 24-26 years.. They've only had about 3-4 fights in that time. This was when my dad was retiring from Navy. My neighbors, married for 10 years, only fought when the guy was getting out of marines. My dad was in Navy 22 year, neighbor was in Marines 15 years I think. so your dad is an asshole. I hAte girl/women beaters. You can try and insist your mom to tell someone.
