Liam's brow furrowed at her claim of this mysterious 'he' knowing where she lives, and how she was actually afraid to be at home. Nobody should be afraid of their home... I mean, that was just crazy. Li shook his head slowly, questions lingering in those beautiful hazel eyes. "I don't understand... Why does this guy want you?" Before Liam even knew what he was about to say next, he realized it was going to sound pretty pre-schooler-ish. Like; 'I'm a super-hero, and I'll protect you'. "Y'know... If you ever need anyone just to stay with you, I could. I mean... I'd just tell the 'rents I was pullin' an all night practice with the guys -- and they'd understand. I could be you're friend, Tex... as well as a pretty tame guard dog." Feeling a mix of embarassment and silliness 'bout asking if he could be her friend, he tipped his head 'way from her good-'nuff-to-get-lost-in blue eyes. Heat swam in his cheeks, and he cursed himself inwardly for being so prone to blushing. Truthfully, he'd already come to regard the short blond girl as a friend of his, and that was something pretty rare for Liam Burbank. So now that she was a friend, there was no way in hell some jerk of a guy was gonna continue sneakin' into her house at any hour of the day. Liam'd rather be beaten to death then see one of his friends die like that, or worse.
