The bushi restrained his smirk until he could lift the wide sleeve of the Kimono to cover it, under the pretense of running his hand upon his chin, as if in some great contemplation. Some part of him understood that Klux and Kurax had been surprised once, but he highly doubted such a ruse would work twice; moreover, they would likely seek him for making them appear the fool.

There were always formalities to be encountered, it was the Way, the Do, of things. Before Sir Detrik would discuss business it must be shown to the outsider who is in charge of the Manor, who is Lord and who is Retainer.

Letting the sleeve drop as he brought his hands to his front, he bowed faintly, not even nearly the quarter bow one would give to those of equal rank; and smiled pleasently.
