What a great post, Ellen. You have me smiling here. How lucky your mother and father are to still have each other at that age and for you to have them both still in your life.
I have to agree with others about John. Completely normal. He was calm and steady most of the time but every once in awhile something would really tick him off. Let's see, I recall the visiting preacher who preached fire and brimstone and when men were rude to Harley and wouldn't serve him coffee...Both plausable to me.
