I heard Jeff's entire show, even called in, and Jeff did not accuse Jerry (from AC, there's another Jerry) of being on the dole. Most of Jeff's program was a discussion of the situation of Sister Jean's kitchen, moving on to the Rush-Daschle-talk radio flap. Tony came on and said that he thought Jeff did too many shows with guests, that not enough time was given to the callers, and that when Jerry called he was given too much time. (Jerry had been given a very large block of time earlier this week). Tony said that Jerry was "on the dole", Jeff did not say it. The next call was from Jerry and Jeff invited Tony to call back, which he did and the two callers went at it. It did get a bit heated, but this is not a tactic that most other local hosts haven't tried, putting two opposing callers on the air to speak to each other. It's not limited to this area, incidentally, since I've heard the 1210 guys, and Sean Hannity do the same thing, i.e., bring two callers on to speak to each other. It's risky, but it does liven things up a bit. You can't listen to the same harangue about AC politics show after show, week into weekend. Nothing is worse than being bored.

.....I missed about 5 minutes,it must have been where JEFF got TONY and JERRY together. I heard the end of that call, and someone else filled me in on the details which are just about what you reported.
