  • Wish I had a transcript of McGettigan's interview... -- talkonline, 17:17:07 10/28/02 Mon
    on JEFF'S show today. I've heard a lot of political rhetoric but I have never heard anyone campaign on this level before.

    His statements about persons in his own department who are apparently not voting for him (to say the least.He mentioned that they were wearing "signs" today.)-were brilliant. Something about how they might not like him but that he has no complaints about their work and what a great job they do....I had already made up my mind to vote for McGETTIGAN but if I had been undecided- that interview would have done it for me.

    Hurley tells Joe LaTorre "Shut Your Big Fat Mouth." He reports with glee that the AC Board of Ed may be suing LaTorre for speaking out in public.

    What a shame. In the time that LaTorre has served the School Board, I have felt a confidence that someone is looking out for our kids. Now-if what Hurley says is true, the elected Board will waste time on intenal politics that have nothing to do with improving/maintaining the School System.

    Hurley would like people to think that he reports the truth,yet when he doesn't like someone,he supports a gag-order.VERY REVELEING INDEED

    .........oh yeah,I will make it my mission as a parent to find out when AC school Board meets. Any public attempts to screw Joe LaTorre will be questioned.(I will bring other parents also)

    I understand that a report on AC School Violence/problems is out in The Press Today. (did not see it yet).From what I understand,there is a heavy law presence at the school. I also hear that there are guns but that students are un-willing to report exactly how the guns are getting in due to the fact that they do not want to have cell-phones,mp3 players and other prohibited items confiscated.

    I think Jeff Whitaker said that he is having Michelle Malkin as a guest today. If anyone hasn't read her work, or seen her on television (O'Reilly, Hannity and Colmes), she is probably the nation's best reporter on immigration issues and abuses. Her book, Invasion, was recently released. Her articles can be found via the Drudge site, or by going to the Jewish World Review - at least a year of articles archived, and all of the post-9/11 ones are must-reads. A real coup for Jeff's show.

    U.S. Senate - Douglas R. Forrester but he's not going to win. Lautenberg has more experience but we need new blood.

    House of Representative - Steven A. Farkas - He's not going to win either and actually I don't know anything about him but he is the Democratic Party nominee so he can't be a complete moron. I don't want Lobiando to win too big.

    Sheriff - Wille Norwood but I think that MeGettigan is going to win. I might change my mind before I go into the voting booth about this one, though. This is something like a protest vote. What if a lot of people voted for Willie thinking pretty much the same thing. I don't think that the world would go to hell in a handbasket if Willie Norwood won!

    Freeloader-At-Large, I mean Freeholder-At-Large - Joseph F. Silipena and Steven K. Johnson. I don't want the democrats screwing everything at the county level. Maybe at some other time but not now. Both of these people are going to win!

    Hi All! I have been having a lot of fun interning as "Jennifer Juniper" on 91.7 fm college radio. I had a lot of fun interviewing Frank Williams, Estelle Manor Councilman this week about what it is like being a newcomer to political life. Afterwards there was a "Youth to the Booth Rally" at Stockton with Jon Corzine and I got to meet Gene Robinson, Tom Swift and many others including a good friend from High School who is running for Freeholder, Gail (Esten) Frank! We all had fun at the rally and were respectful of each other.
    Just a reminder: The Debate tonight, Wednesday between Doug Forrester and all others running for Senate, including Lautenberg on C-Span at 7 PM. They will all debate for an hour, then just Forresterand Lautenberg for a half hour. So get your friends to watch and have them judge for themselves.

    “Shall the Ventnor City Board of Commissioners approve Ordinance 2002-14 whereby the City of Ventnor City shall accept the Absecon Island Beach Replenishment Program as detailed in the general plan captioned “Beach Fill Absecon Island, Absecon Inlet to Great Egg Harbor Inlet,” dated April 27, 2000 and amended which plan would obligate the City of Ventnor City to spend approximately, $1,400,000 in funds and enter into a cooperative agreement with the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the Untied States Army Corps of Engineers for the implementation of said general plan.



    Interpretive Statement:



    “This question, if approved by the Voters will authorize the Ventnor City Board of Commissioners to approve Ordinance No 2002-14 and will mean that Ventnor City will enter into a cooperative agreement so as to implement the aforesaid beach fill program. The beach fill program will include the construction of sand dunes on public beaches of the City of Ventnor City as part of the beach replenishment project and will necessitate the initial expenditure of approximately $1,400,000 by the City of Ventnor City.

    Hurley will be served soon w/papers informing him he will be the subject of a libelous slander suit by Craig Callaway. On today's show Callaway called in to informed a surprised and tongue tied Hurley of the suit. Hurley, caught off guard pleaded with Callawy that he did nothing wrong and tried to blame it on another caller. This is typical of this individual who has never taken resposibility for his actions, (i.e. his plagarism against the AC Press, "not my fault, someone gave me bad info- waaaaa")

    I'd like to say that if Bill Gormley was a female Harry would probably be considered a stalker for the 15 headlines mentioning Gormley's name on his site. The 15 does NOT even include the fact that Gormley is probably mentioned in other stories but under different headings. And what is with the picture of Gormley and "Would you vote for this man?" So what is Harry trying to say, we should vote for a candidate based on his/her looks?

    He is obsessed with Gormley, this was the same for Whelan until recently. I completely understand his dislike for Gormley, however, I cannot condone the tone or some of his comments towards the politician, they are mean and sometimes very personal. Harry must really like Howard Stern to copy off his "trademark" name-calling of Pumpkin Head which, Howard Stern used to call Rush (it puts Gormley in good company)!!

    As for the Craig Calloway comment yesterday and Harry quickly saying that he likes to stick with the facts, I laughed so HARD my stomach hurt yesterday from that comment. So by Harry's standards, it's a fact that Bill Gormley looks like a "pumpkin head???!!! Now I understand what BIZARRO WORLD is!

    Its blindingly obvious that one of the region's failed talk show hosts is gripped by an obsession with Bill Gormley. Its getting to the point of slapstick. The guy barely updates his website unless it has to do with Gormley. He removed (or hid) his message board, either because of lack of participation or "sick, intellectually dishonest, indredulous" posters.

    I used to be a loyal listener, until he went over the edge. I am hopeful that he rids himself of his intense jealousy and gets back to breaking news.

    Here's a step by step guide on how to "dig" for the info. that you know is available,but you must know the "secret" to find.

    Problem:LOCAL court cases info.is available online but when you get to the search page,"it" will not give you the data unless you have a docket # OR name. How would I know the docket # or plaintiff/defendant,name if I'm interested in finding out about upcoming court cases and lawsuits that have been filed in Atlantic County?

    Solution:

    1.Go to www.judiciary.state.nj.us/acms/(click here)

    2.Where it says "venue"-click the arrow and select "Atlantic".

    3.Skip everything else,except,

    4.In the box where it says "last name" enter a capitol A

    5.Click "Submit"

    As I said from my most reliable source last month Hurley was at least temporarily let go from the"South Jersey Insider"as you can see from the political insider columns absence and as for the so called Friend Of Hurley who rebutted my report,well I guess your not such a good friend or Harry lied to you or your a liar to have said he told you first hand it wasn't true.

    What next? maybe millenium will give us good music on the weekends? It would beat a washed up turn coat democrat,err I mean republican, er I mean who's running for what office?

    Talkonline - Gormley was not cleared before Harry Hurley's breaking story about his suspension.

    That is simply not true and his quotes support that.

    Further, what everyone should be asking is how did the IOLTA Trustees make him eligible for reinstatement so quickly.

    Investigation has begun whether undo political influence was used by Gormley.
