Subject: Wish I had a transcript of McGettigan's interview...

on JEFF'S show today. I've heard a lot of political rhetoric but I have never heard anyone campaign on this level before.

His statements about persons in his own department who are apparently not voting for him (to say the least.He mentioned that they were wearing "signs" today.)-were brilliant. Something about how they might not like him but that he has no complaints about their work and what a great job they do....I had already made up my mind to vote for McGETTIGAN but if I had been undecided- that interview would have done it for me.

Get Real! McGettigan's done. He knows it already.He's begging for debates. When is thre a guy in office for 12 years that begs for debates? He knows it's over. Sheriff Richard Squires. What a nice ring that has!!!!!!!!!!!1

Darn, wish I had heard that interview.

I know he streamlined the sheriff's dept and saved the county money and for the most part has run it well. But I still have a problem with the way he treated the deputy who was injured on the job. If his people are that unhappy, something must be wrong. Its ridicuous,IMO, that this type of position has to be a party affiliated candidate. In a perfect world, the best qualified experienced individual is appointed to the job.

As it stands though, I'm leaning towards Squires. Of course, if you have a sense of humor, Willie would be the pick.

He mistreats his employees. Moved to fire a hero Officer, Floyd Morris. Horror stories.

Yet, yesterday's kook interview made your mind up.

To say McGettigan is brilliant, come on.....did you ever talk to this man and listen, really listen to him. He is not an honest man to say the least. To say he is brilliant must mean that you believe him on his word. He does not know what he is talking about when it comes to police topics. Listen to him speak and ask any local cop. The cop will tell you McGettigan does not know what he is talking about. I hope the average voter sees through this guy and votes for Squires.
