When working on the Ferry South Steyne in Sydney harbour in 2004, I used a rope ladder to get down onto the stage over the bow for painting, was told by someone it is illegal now!! plus must use a hard hat, and lifejacket!!! I was 70 and got cramps sometimes but It was the way I'd always done it so stuff them I carried on.
