Hi Laurie
Your posting re Millais took me back. I was on Lassell, Roscoe and Devis in the late 50's as R/O and I loved that run to S/America although the Lassell went from the continent to Newport News for coal to Dublin. The return trip across the atlantic was in dreadful weather and we hove to for a while to let the storm abate. Heaalth & Safety? Forget it!!
cheers
Tony Cooke
