Kandla in North West India 1958 discharged grain there from Halifax Nova Scotia we were only the fourth ship to have docked there it was a new port being built by the Germans, no cranes our cargo had to be discharged by our steam winches you can imagine what a racket that made day & night for a week, a horrible dirty stinking hole if ever there was one.
Another has just come to mind Berbera in what was then British Somaliland
Best wishes to all.
