Smallest I sailed on, at a fraction over 1600 tons, but most certainly the ugliest - by a long way - were the North Thames Gas Board "Flatirons" - NE coal ports to the Thames power stations. Pics on file, they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, best you can say about these boats is that fully loaded, there wasn't much to behold ! Only spent a short time on that run but developed a huge respect for the guys on there.
