 As long as you have a very good and up to date security program with virus ptotectin you should be ok.
But having said that, never but never open email unless 100% certain who it came from.
Also when forwarding messages, make sure to remove all names and email addresses that the email has been peviously sent to, this will help keep a lot of spam at bay.
