The last thing he had been expecting was that notalgic smile to come over Dane's face and he shook his head a touch, his brow furrowed as he leaned back again once more. His brother was seriously losing it, he was pretty sure of the fact. "Aye, cuz ye nearly broke my bluidy neck." Brushing aside Dane's walk down memory lane, he cleared his throat and spoke again. "I have a request to make of ye and I ken ye are nay going to want to do it but tis..important to me." He stated before he took a deep breath and leaned forward, his eyes on his brother. "Evie is about to go into heat, and ye of all people ken that I willnae be able to...resist going along with the natural procession of things." He let out a soft breath, his brow furrowed a little. "And...when she gets with bairn, she willnae be able to shift to allow them to grow, ye ken. Tis nay enough for her to just shift once a month, her human body will nay ever be able to support a clutch of eggs." Looking down at his food for a moment, he gathered his breath before he spoke again. "I need Bree's necklace, Dane. If she wears it then she will just concieve as a normal human woman and we can have a bairn of our own and nay endanger her life, aye? We'd give it back after the bairn was born, it wouldnae be out of yer sight for long and tis a desperate need I have for it. If she gets pregnant with a clutch lad, it could kill her." His brow furrowed as he looked over his shoulder at the stairs where the girls had disappeared. "Ye can see how Bree is now. She is going to have to shift to her dragon form soon and stay that way for the remainder of her pregnancy. Any day now, ye ken and Evie, she wouldnae be able to do that."
