(He didn't respond right away to Kerri's voice, so deeply annoyed as he was.. he merely lay there, his chest rising and falling as he breated and little snorts of smoke leaving his nostrils. When Kerri rolled over, he sighed, lifting his head just a little to look at her as she moved, admiring the woman she was. Tiernan had done good by her, and he shouldn't feel quite so put out as he did.. but damnit, he had missed Tiernan and had wanted his friend back. It was odd just how much a third wheel could change their relationship. As Kerri settled down to sleep, Dane moved to rest high on Tiernan's side, effectively placing himself as guard over them both as they slept.) (It was early afternoon when he finally got up the motivation to leave the room that he and Dane had spent all morning sharing together. He had awoken shortly after Kerri's departure, most likely because the bed had turned cold.. and after finding her note had decided to spend some time reaquanting himself with Dane. He'd rekindled the fire and taken a seat before it, reading a book until the dragon had finally broken his foul mood enough to speak to him. It hadn't taken long once the ice was broken for the two men to converse at length aboout everything that had happened since their estrangement began. Tiernan came to the conclusion that Liam had been altered by being trapped within a human for so long.. so that he had taken on the characteristics of a human more than a dragon. But once he had been freed, Zidane had returned to his normal state of mind and they were finally seeing the two men as seperate entities instead of one mind. Before, when they had shared a body and mind it had become difficult to deciper who's thoughts belonged to whom and they had simply behaved as a single person.. but now that they were seperate it was easy to see the stark differences in them. He also realized that Dane was first a dragon, that human form was something he could assume.. it was not who he was, and that was something that allowed him to better understand Dane's behavior. It was Dane's sense of his mate that allowed Tiernan to zero in on the two women, and when he did he was surprised to find them in the stables. He crossed over to stand behind Kerri, putting his arms around her and pulling her back into his chest so that he could kiss her neck. Dane slithered up from his belly to sit astride his shoulder, gazing at Bree with a lopsided expression of mirth. It was quite obvious the dragon wanted to be free, but was no longer bitter about it.) How are our two favorite lasses? (Tiernan asked, looking from Bree to Kerri and back. It was easy to see they were getting along, but he had no idea how Bree would act to seeing them still bonded. He didnt want her to flip out again. His gaze wandered and as he spotted the wooley cows his stomach growled and he smiled. Now that was one thing that had not changed since their last union.)
