Subject: I have a real life story similar to this. I was a student nurse, and had a wonderful guy patient. Diabetic, double amputee, and poor guy had a wound on his testicles, that I had to change the dressing for each shift. We were talking while I was doing the dressing change, and he was kidding me about being a student nurse. He was telling me that we was going to give me a terrible evaluation and tell my instructor how awful I was. I looked up with a grin on my face and said, "You just remember what I 'm changing a bandage on right now...." , He grinned and said,"You're the best student nurse ever, I'd give you an A+++, tell your instructor to come in here so I can tell her how wonderful you are!'' We both busted out laughing! Great patient, best story from nursing school! | |
