Subject: Miss America requires every young lady to pay a Children's Miracle Network fee for every local they compete in and ever state competition. That can add up when you exhaust your supporters after the 3 or 4th pageant. Plus all the wardrobe you are required to wear and purchase for competition. VERY expensive, but they have mom's and dad's to pay. Some of the younger MRS still have mommy and daddy to help them out, especially those who competed as young ladies and never won, but for the most part it is on the family of the woman competing to pay. I agree, 15 times is a bit much (click in)

In reply to: I still say it's obsessive 's message, "You do know that Miss America prelims don't have entry fees right? Lol" on 10/25/13 Fri

but she won and that was important to her. I just wonder what opportunities would have been open to her if she would have walked away at say 4th try...sometimes if you fight God over what HE wants for you to get what you want, in the end you realize it really didn't fulfill you.

God doesn't judge pageants; a rotating panel of adults do. God is probably busy with more important things than pageants. (NT)smh10/28/13 Mon
