Well 2009 has certainly been an interesting year!! I remember in the beginning when some of the delegates from their respective countries were crowned, thinking WTF!?!?!?! They year may have started off slow but eventually some true stunners were crowned. I also learned a valuable lesson. Never bash a contestant too early on. Two shining examples are Korea and Turks and Caicos. I truly believed that they both lived and breathed the true spirit of the Miss Universe during their reign. They both made amazing transformations and arrived in the Bahamas proving all of their negative critics (including myself) wrong!!!
This year in MIssosology the bashing has been relentless. I have had a good time at the expense of many delegates making plenty of jokes. I bashed both the Philippines and Turks and Caicos to no end. Both have silenced me because they brought it in the preliminaries.
PHOTOGENIC AWARD
INDONESIA
Zizi has looked flawless in all of her candids. She is the epitome of a true photogenic gal. I loved her fresh look since she arrived in the Bahamas. She also was quite the little fashionista. I am hoping that everyone acknowledge her true gift for the camera without modern day retouching and voted her as the most photogenic!!!

NETHERLANDS
Miss Netherlands is gorgeous. She came in a close second for photogenic. She is a flawless beauty and embodies the true face of the Miss Universe for 2009!!!!
CONGENIALITY
TURKS AND CAICOS
I believe that in order to be a finalist, a girl needs to posses a certain amount of beauty. I am talking about physical beauty. I think Jewel seems like a sweet girl and she gave it everything she had in the preliminaries. She even mastered her little turns to perfection! She worked it! I don't think she is worthy of a final fifteen spot but I do believe that she just may walk away with this year's congeniality award. She seems like a fire cracker!!
BEST TRANSFORMATIONS
Korea
Korea is definitely the Cinderella story of the year. She was one of the first girls crowned and left everyone, including myself in a state of shock. Yeayea has been her biggest supporter. She arrived in the Bahamas with a bold bang! She gave a solid performance in the preliminaries but lacked the spunk and sophistication of the past two Korea's. My final rank for this charming girl is number 39!!!
Turks and Caicos
Turks and Caicos is being mentioned again!! She was the other Cinderella story girl of the year. You can tell that she has been really working out throughout her reign, because she has lost a great deal of weight. She mastered the twist and turns during her preliminaries and fought with everything that she had. One of the more memorable girls from this little Caribbean island for both the right and wrong reasons. My final rank for this firecracker is 43!!
The preliminaries were a disaster when it came to watching them live. I missed the first half of the performances. A nice guy in this forum by the name of aaron90, provided me the link so I could finish watching the SS presentation performances and make my final rankings. I spent the night in a chat provided by Shamster with other people from this forum, including Segares. It was an interesting way to watch the preliminaries and chat at the same time. I was getting overly annoyed with the whole Rioy twirl. And yes the twirl was coined by Riyo not Taliana. Taliana just happend to pick it up the next year and it caught on like the yellow fever this year.
Notes on the girls that didn't make my list

84. Israel 14.14
She probably had the worst walk of the pageant. She seemed to lack confidence. I noticed during her E.G. portion of the preliminaries that the back of her hair was rather messy. That was an indication that she rushed backstage and was not very serious about the pageant. Israel has crowned better girls.
83. New Zealand 14.33
Was she on crack? I kept asking myself, what could this girl possibly be on? She walked so fast that I thought she was going to plow off the stage. The disappointing part was that she was actually pretty and could have done miles better. Her awkward presentation lands her near the bottom of the pack.
82. Ethiopia 14.39
A lot of people have raved about her beauty. She is indeed a beautiful girl, but she is not Miss Universe material. She wore one of the ugliest gowns, had a little belly going on and her walk was that of a confused girl. I got the impression that she was like "What do I do?"
81. Montenegro 14.91
What was she thinking with that horrible ensemble of a gown? It was absolutely awful. Her atrocity of a gown is a perfect example of sinking a girl to the bottom. Whoever picked out that gown for her should be fired. Not only did she waste a ten thousand dollar entrance fee but she made a fool of herself on stage with that *gly disaster.
80. Lebanon 15.02
Weird body proportions. Lebanon made a dire mistake when they replaced the original stunner for this mess. She should have toned her body a little better. Looking at my notes that is all I can remember, the odd shape of her body. She was quite forgettable.
79. Ireland 15.35
Subliminal performances. Very forgettable.
78. Aruba 15.42
She had a somewhat interesting gown. Her body was a mess and her face was a mess. If this nation crowned the girl that they sent to Miss International, I'm sure Aruba would have had a finalist this year. This Miss Aruba looks like a big boned tranny.
77. Singapore 15.43
Very hyped. Bad gown choice. I'm wondering if she took the curtains off her window and made a gown. The color choice was horrendous.
76. Turkey 15.45
She had the body of a boy. Her gown was a ruffle of a mess. Turkey seems to wear the same gown every year. The top half actually looked decent but the bottom half was a "TURKEY" of a mess.
75. Hungary 15.57
One of the biggest disappointments of the pageant. She has such sex appeal. Her gown was a disaster. Someone said she was in need of a redbull and boy was that true! Her walk was so bland. Waa....waa...waa...And what was up with that disaster of a hairdo? I still wouldn't be shocked if she made it as one of the personal picks of Donald Trump. She really is a stunner.
74. Guyuna 15.66
I hope she had fun at the pageant.
73. Estonia 15.75
Odd girl. Very forgettable.
72. Argentina 15.76
Damn. What was up with this one? Was she really that bored. Hello. Introduce a little effort and you might actually make a statement. This girl gets the most boring award.
71. Panama 15.98
If Panama didn't make it last year, there is no way in hell that this girl is going to make it. Her tan was so fake looking.
70. Albania 16.04
Another big disappointment. She had the second ugliest gown of the pageant. This one really had a chance to crack the finals but it certainly won't happen with the mess or ruffles that tried to strangle her neck.
69. Georgia 16.07
A big fat no!
68. Poland 16.14
This was another girl that looked bored. She was somewhat out of shape.
67. Bulgaria 16.18
She wasn't bad but she wasn't great. I think the problem with Europe this year was that they all appeared to be stunners in photos but they were quite lifeless on the stage and made some really bad choices when it came to their evening gown presentations.

Bolivia should have let her hands down during her SS walk. She looked very uncomfortable. Her gown was quite tacky too.

Colombia got it wrong this year. This girl walked way too fast. She was one hot mess.
Italy was working those boobies. Those were her best performance. They had a mind of their own!!
60. El Salvador 16.69
Can't remember a thing about this one. She performed better than I expected because I thought she was quite homely.
59. Slovenia 16.75
She gave a solid swim suit performance but her gown presentation was her downfall. I think she has an interesting look.
58. Croatia 16.77
Tacky gown choice.
57. Nigeria 16.82
Her Fadil shot made her look like a man. Nine brothers and six sisters? Damn. Have you ever heard of birth control? She performed okay but her body was certainly a little flabby in the midsection region.
56. Angola 16.83
Way too perky. Almost to the point of boarder line annoying.
55. Switzerland 16.96
Very big disappointment. She was in my original top 15. She lacked spunk on the stage and her gown was quite uninspiring.
54. Namibia 17.03
Decent performance but obviously outshined by 53 other girls.
53. Serbia 17.06
Very unattractive girl. She reminded me of a rougher version of Hillary Swank and that isn't saying much. If Greece looked like a mule then this girl looks like a horse. Someone fetch the hay!!
52. Canada 17.08
Started off great by working it during the SS round but made the unfortunate mistake of borrowing Philippines national costume for her EG choice.
51. Paraguay 17.11
I actually think she is cute. Loved how she smiled during her prelim performances. I wouldn't be surprised if she did make it. She was solid in the SS round but her EG just was not my cup of tea. She wore gloves? That is so 90's. All she needed was an umbrella to go with her ensemble and she would have been Marry Poppins.
50. Malaysia 17.15

Another example of when gowns go wrong. She was great in the SS round but wore a horrible gown and the color was just a big fat no. In my eyes she wore a fancier version of Miss Singapore's dress. I guess that means that Miss Guam had nicer curtains than Miss Singapore did.
48. Romania 17.23
She is the fakest blond of the bunch. Her roots were starting to come in. She did a stellar job for Romania though, considering they haven't been at the Miss Universe since 1998. Dayana seemed to love Romania when she went to this girl's pageant. I've always long thought the winner from the previous year got to choose their favorite delegate and if this is the case, I'm wondering if Dayana will pick this cutie.
47. Ghana 17.32
What in the hell were up with those facial expressions? Nice body but what an airhead.
46. Spain 17.36
Great SS presentation. Gown presentation not so good.
45. Mauritius 17.38
She was solid but not solid enough. She is one of the best girls to come from her country. Her gown was ill suited for her body shape.
44. Costa Rica 17.44
Sorry Segares. I was her biggest supporter after you. I still think she is sizzling and smoking but she lacked spunk in the prelims. She was probably one of my biggest disappointments.
43. Turks and Caicos 17.55
She gave it everything she had.

Cute girl. Very sophisticated.

Norway had a very interesting gown.
Cyprus was impressive in the SS round. Her gown was very tacky.
39. Korea 17.62
Great transformation. Her gown was somewhat tacky. She deserves an applause though for all the hard work that she put into her year.
38.Iceland 17.63
She arrived looking frumpy. Remember that first picture? She almost brought it in the gown presentation but there was room for more!
37. Germany 17.66
She was a surprise. She did a lot better than I expected. She had that little mishap during her SS presentation but it was barely noticeable.
36. Egypt 17.7
Loved her evening gown. Her body is certainly going to hold her back. She was rather portly around the belly area. I just don't get why these girls come out with belly bulges, especially when they have a decent shot of making the finals. She was totally eye humping the camera with some of her eye poses. Hello Miss Angola 2007!!!!!!!
35. Sweden 17.22
Nice to see Sweden back in the competition. Her SS was strong. Her EG was a little odd. Very 90's. All she was missing were the shoulder pads.
34. Vietnam 17.75
Where was her hyped catwalk? Her body was less than inspiring and her gown was not the best. She didn't do bad but she certainly didn't live up to the hype.
Tied at 33 Jamaica and the Bahamas 17.8
Jamaica is cute but I feel there are other girls that are stronger. My gut is telling me though I should include her in my top 15.
The Bahamas gave a very impressive swim suit performance. Her gown was quite heavy. She does not deserve a top fifteen placement.
31. Ukraine 18.81
No! She looks like she is on drugs. No! No! No! The only reason she managed to get so high on my list is because of her swim suit performance. I find her hair to be the main focal point of this girl and it is one big itch! Just no! No! No! She looks possessed in the eyes and suffers from massive bags! I hope she shaves down in her lady region.
30. Nicaragua 17.91
She was impressive. Forgettable though.
Tied at 29 is Japan and Great Britain 17.92
Japan looked quite old in the face. Her gown was way too heavy. She did a decent job, but I'm so tired of Ines and her bullshit.
Great Britain is a beauty. I wouldn't mind seeing this gal in the finals as long as she puts her poison ivy of a gown aside.
27. Honduras 17.94
I cannot remember Honduras ever landing this high on my list in previous years. She is a stunner and has the potential to make the top fifteen. This is where the competition starts to get intense and it would not really be a surprise if any of these girls from this point or above make the list.
26. Uruguay 17.95
Wow. Who know that this girl who has barely received any press would perform so well. She worked her thing and did a good job at it.
25. Thailand 17.99
She had a beautiful gown and gave a superb performance but let's face it. That face of hers is not getting her anywhere.
24. Venezuela 18.02
Everyone has been guessing which girl is going to be the clapper and I have a feeling it could be Miss Venezuela. What in the hell was she thinking coming out with that red number? No. No. No.
23. Cayman Islands 18.07
This girl was a surprise. She did a solid number. I wish she would have wore her hair straight. She certainly did take her time on the runway.
22. Ecuador 18.12
This girl was one of my sentimental favorites. She did not let me down.
21. Russia 18.14
Mixed feelings on this one. Bad EG performance but a great SS performance. She really is a lot more beautiful than I originally gave her credit for.
MY BUBBLES
20. France
This is where the going get's tricky. She is a charming girl with one dynamite gown. Miss France has all the potential in the world to land in the finals. I think she has some stiff competition and if she does make the finals she is going to need to bring everything that she has to the table.
19.Peru
Peru enters my list as my official dark horse. She was totally unexpected in my book. Not only did she deliver one hell of a preliminary performance, she has the goods to become one of the potential front runners out of the South American girls.
18.Indonesia
I would love to put her so much higher, but that tacky gown is holding her back. If she had a stronger walk I would totally feel confident about putting her in my top fifteen. She did a wonderful job though.
17. Curacao
I am pinching myself right now. I had this girl tied in the fifth spot after the preliminaries. I am going over my final 17 girls and debating about three of them. I think she will be in the finals but I just cannot rank her higher than a couple of my other girls despite their lackluster performances in the preliminaries.
16. India
So difficult! This year is impossible! She is another girl that I'm going back and forth with. I'll admit it, I don't really care for red evening gowns. This competition is so close and I really think she could have brought a little more to the preliminaries. She certainly was beautiful though!!!

15.NETHERLANDS
THE FACT IS SHE WAS RATHER DULL IN HER PRELIMINARIES. I AM VERY GLAD THAT SHE SWITCHED UP THE GOWN. THIS WAS THE OTHER GIRL THAT I DEBATED WITH BETWEEN INDIA AND CURACAO. I HAD THE NETHERLANDS RANKED 24TH AFTER THE PRELIMINARIES. SHE IS JUST SO CUTE AND I HAVE FEELING THAT SHE WILL BE A PERSONAL FAVORITE OF THE MUO AND WILL MOST LIKELY BE IN THE TOP FIFTEEN. DURING HER PRELIMINARIES SHE LOOKED BEAUTIFUL ON THE CAMERA. SHE IS BOTH TELEGENIC AND PHOTOGENIC. HER CANDIDS HAVE BEEN ALMOST FLAWLESS SINCE HER ARRIVAL IN THE BAHAMAS. NOT ONLY IS SHE THE FACE OF THE PAGEANT BUT SHE IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST DELEGATES FOR THE COUNTRY OF HOLLAND SINCE THE EARLY 90'S
14.PHILIPPINES
I WAS ONE OF HER BIGGEST BASHERS, ALL IN GOOD NATURE OF COURSE. SHE DID PROVIDE QUITE A FEW LAUGHS AT MY EXPENSE. SHE WAS A WOW IN THE PRELIMINARIES. SHE HAD THE BEST CATWALK OF ASIA. SHE TOTALLY BROUGHT IT. HER EVENING GOWN IS NOT ONE OF MY FAVORITES. THIS IS ABOUT AS GOOD OF A PERFORMANCE THAT A GIRL CAN GIVE. THE FILIPINOS HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY LOYAL TO THE MUO OVER THE PAST FEW YEARS AND IF HER STUNNING CATWALK AND EXTREME CONFIDENCE DOES NOT LAND HER A SPOT IN THE TOP FIFTEEN THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL.
13.PUERTO RICO
SHE WILL PROBABLY PLACE CONSIDERABLY HIGHER THAN I INITIALLY HAVE HER ON MY LIST. THERE IS NO WAY THAT THE MUO IS GOING TO LET PUERTO RICO NOT PLACE FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN THE ROW. THERE WAS SOMETHING OFF ABOUT HER DURING THE PRELIMS. SHE GAVE A DECENT PERFORMANCE, BUT SHE LOOKED LIKE SHE HAD LOST SOME WEIGHT? HER FACE ALSO LOOKED WEIRD, VERY BONY. BASED ON HER PRELIMINARY PERFORMANCE, I THINK THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.
12.BRAZIL
BRAZIL HAS A BANGING BODY AND A GREAT CATWALK. MY PROBLEM WITH HER IS THAT SHE HAS A REALLY MATURE LOOK. SHE NEEDS TO WEAR THE YELLOW GOWN DURING THE FINALS.
11.KOSOVO
I HAD IT PEGGED THAT ALBANIA WOULD BE MAKING THE FINALS. KOSOVO SHOCKED THE HELL OUT OF ME LAST NIGHT WITH HER STRONG PERFORMANCES. SHE IS A TRUE MODEL OUT ON THE CATWALK AND EVEN BETTER THAN MISS KOSOVO OF LAST YEAR. SHE IS VERY DESERVING OF A TOP FIFTEEN SPOT.
10.BELGIUM
BEAUTIFUL GIRL. GREAT SWIMSUIT WALK. HER GOWN IS A DISASTER. IF SHE DOES END UP WEARING THAT GOWN SHE WILL NOT MAKE IT PASS THE TOP TEN. IF SHE WEARS SOMETHING OUT OF THIS WORLD, SHE COULD POTENTIALLY HAVE A SHOT AT BECOMING THE MISS UNIVERSE. SHE DID EVERYTHING RIGHT LAST NIGHT.
9.SLOVAK REPUBLIC
SHE CERTAINLY WAS A DIVA DURING THE PRELIMINARIES AND I LOVED IT. I LAUGHED SO HARD WHEN SHE DID THAT THING WITH HER HAND DURING HER SS PERFORMANCE. SHE IS DESERVING OF A TOP TEN PLACEMENT AND IS WORTHY OF EVEN GOING FARTHER.
8.DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
PAGEANT PATTY PERFORMANCE. YOU CAN'T DENY THAT SHE WAS ONE OF THE TOP CONTENDERS IN THE PRELIMINARIES. LOOKING AT MY PRELIM LIST SHE CAME IN FIRST PLACE. I JUST DON'T THINK THE MUO WILL BE GOING FOR THE OLDER LOOK THIS YEAR.
7.GUATEMALA
BIG SURPRISE!! SHE ROCKED THE PRELIMS. FELL IN LOVE WITH HER. CANNOT BELIEVE I DIDN'T NOTICE HER BEFORE.
6.SOUTH AFRICA
SHE WAS STELLAR IN THE PRELIMS. GREAT GOWN. GREAT BODY. BETTER THAN MISS SOUTH AFRICA FROM LAST YEAR.
TOP FIVE
4TH RUNNER UP-CHINA
I AM TAKING A RISK ON THIS GIRL. NOT MANY OTHER PEOPLE LIKE HER, BUT I THINK SHE HAS SOMETHING SPECIAL. I REALLY HOPE SHE AT LEAST MAKES THE FINALS AND IF SHE DOES I HOPE SHE GOES ALL THE WAY TO TOP FIVE.
3RD RUNNER UP-MEXICO
THE STRONGEST LATINA THIS YEAR. MEXICO IS LOOKING AT ANOTHER TOP FIVE PLACEMENT. BEAUTIFUL AND BREATH TAKING THIS ONE IS.
2ND RUNNER UP-AUSTRALIA
SHE IS GOING TO COME CLOSE TO THE CROWN BUT NOT QUITE. SHE WAS MORE HYPE THAN AMAZING.
1ST RUNNER UP-USA
SHE WORKED THAT STAGE LAST NIGHT. THAT TWIRL AT THE END OF HER GOWN PERFORMANCE WAS THE BEST OF THE NIGHT. HER GOWN WAS RATHER A COPYCAT OF USA BUT SHE WORKED IT WELL. GOOD JOB MISS USA
MISS UNIVERSE 2009 IS CZECH REPUBLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SHE IS A VICTORIA SUPERMODEL IN THE MAKING. SHE IS THE ONE TO BEAT. AMAZING BODY. AMAZING PERFORMANCE. AND A BLOND!!! GO CZECH REPUBLIC!!!!!!

- VERY VERY INTeresting. Now anybody who watched the prelims could say that DOMINICAN republic and USA wore 200%. AUSTRALIA was also consistent but her catwalk wasnt MEMORABLE. Kosovo was born lastnight with her SUPERB Performance. Mexico and Puerto Rico was good but didnt BRING IT and mightve lost their spot in the top 5. Venezula, Phillipines and Curraco who received heavy critism did well. Czech Republic, India, South Africa, Netherlands, Ukraine was very GRACEFULL but it might work against them because they werent memorable. Brazil was very consistent however her bEAUTY will be a factor for her. The Bahamas, Turks, Cayman Islands and Jam. were good but didnt put forth that WOW factor what they all needed in order to be considered as a HEAVY CONTENDOR.  So but you are way off. I like Czech Republic but Dominican Republic will win this year followed by France, South Africa, jamaica and Curacao. Miss Bahamas will be in the Top 15,. Honduras and Irealand also will be in the Top 10 as will be Ukraine. I am so not Impressed with Neatherlands. Zambia is a nice suprise. You just got to love Turks & Caicos.
