it is sad to see how michelle and her team has used these girls knowing that as far as they where concern some of these girls did not stand a chance to win. asking for an enterance fee of $3,000.00 and $250.00 for each event before that night of the event, $1,000.00 dollars on the night of the event even if you did not sell tickets those girls were forced to pay for ten tickets per event. those girls did not even walk away with a simple make up kit or a spa treatment. these organization need to be investigated you know the international standards why select girls why select girls that you could see was not prepared, to short, need teeth job, nose job, body was not ready etc. then have your little--- liers work with these girls by telling them you did good when they know these girls did not do good, you also have jarome pressuring these girls back stage before events for ticket money and telling them if they do not pay they will not go on stage. but yet you all care. i find you all to be deceptive, greedy, cold hearted people who prey on innocent girls and their dreams. believe you me you will suffer for this.
that is why you are over weight and looked unattractive for a person hosting a beauty---- event. that table cloth that you was wearing back and front suitssss you well. remember the seed you all sew you will reap

Today I am saddened by how prejudice is so prevalent and acceptable. For people to declare what constitutes Bahamian, is staying in one place all the time, rather than the character and quality within. The coat of arm said, FORWARD UPWARD ONWARD TOGETHER, yet it appears that we are moving backward, downward, and no where.

It grieves my heart to think that a passport is not sufficient to validate one's nationality. I never realize how prejudice a place we have become.

Once again we allow prejudice to overwhelm us, rather than support the accomplishment of a child of the soil.

Personally, I don't care where she is born, but rather what she stands for. There exist many "Bahamians" killing each other on a daily basis, is that "Bahamian"?

Let us not mask our personal prejudice with a nationality debate.

People lets stand united and support the newly crowned queen.

First and foremost I think MS Pierre is very well spoken, beautiful, goal oriented young woman. With her experience has to be one of the most prepared canidates that the Bahamas has had in a very long time, with that being said I think the committee needs to be aware of the air they have now placed amoung the average Bahamian. I thought it was very insulting to the other young ladies that participated for MS MAlcom to say on Tv that it's them as disgruntal contestants that are spreading the noise in the air about people having a problem with the Queen being a Bahamian and being able to trully represent what it means to be a Bahamian. Now I don't know those contestants so who knows if some are bitter but you can't blame the average Bahamian questioning her citizenship and loyalty to this country all on disgruntal contestants because that's just not true. Just came off Bahamas uncensored and it seems like this doesn't sit well with the average Bahamian.

Erica Anne O. Watkins-Laing Bianca......Pierre's Grand Parents came here - her mother was born here - left - grew up in the States - Pierre was born in the states - raised as an American - represented her country at all levels until she lost in the major pageant and t...hen became "Bahamian" I have a problem with that. But that's my personal feelings.....either you chose to be American - or Bahamian. Not one as far as it will take you and then the other when you fail at the first.

As for Obama - he's American - born there - grown there - chose there. If he went to Africa and decided to run for President of something - I would have the same problem as I do with Pierre.

Read what I said - I have no problem with the mixed heritage - I am mixed myself. I have a problem with the citizenship - SHE IS AN AMERICAN - BORN - RAISED AND REPRESENTED

Twotado Bahamas WHO BEEN TO PRIMARY SCHOOL WITH HER PLAYED JUMP ROPE AND HOP SCOTCH EAT SALTY AND BAGGY AND CUP FROM MISS ESSY THAT THE BAHAIMIANS OF TODAY PROBLEM THEY STAND FOR NOTHING SO THEY GETS NOTHING !!!!!!!!

Vanessa Small P.S If Ryan Pinder had to denounce his US Citizenship to run in this election then....ya'll know the next question...

Lisa Cartwright I never said she wasn't going to do well...I said how was she allowed to enter! And of course you would be for her Mr. Jacques! Are u two related in any way? Miss Bahamas...should be represented by a Bahamian!! That's all I am sayin...

The point is The average Bahamian the status issue doesn't sit well with them. There is nothing that can be done because the judges decision is final but it is very important to know, how their decision is preceived. They say statements like our pool of applicants is to small to place a rule that you have to live in the Bahamas for 6months. The more compromises you make the more people will ebgin to lose respect for what you do. and you might say who cares what do they know about pageants. but they remember when Miss Bahamas use to represent and be a symbol of what a true Bahamian woman was. Not with a group of ppl on commitee feel will get them a placement at an international pageant. That's all well in good but is that really all Miss Bahamas means to you, because that's not all she is to the average Bahamian. Like Anya said on tv that's my Miss Bahamas and i love and respect her, not I'm confuse is she really Bahamian? how if she has never lived here?. So just something to think about do you want a representative or do you want a placement both will be great but i don't think we should sacrifice one for the other

Truth

Only thing MBO is wrong for is LOWERING STANDARDS! As a mother (but can be any relative) If you know your daugther does not have the Looks to become Miss World or Miss Universe (this goes beyond a national level of Miss Bahamas) Be honest with yourself and your daughter tell her that Miss Bahamas or any BEAUTY PAGEANT is not for her. It would save you and her the embarrassment of having your friends to compound the lie by makin you think your UNATTRACTIVE excuse "BEAUTIFUL" daughter was cheated.

When you know DAMN WELL you did not expect your daughter to win or beat out other beautiful hopefuls.

Like I say its not easy to hurt your love ones but it sure is better than going through the process of a pageant with FALSE HOPE.

Comments anyone?
