 I am so sick and tired of all of the idiotic comments people are making in reference to the Coroner's position. I find it amusing that everyone is bashing Callahan simply because he is out trying to campaign and make his self known. I don't see Ridgeway out doing anything other than doing the Meet the Candidates night, what kind of a representative is he for the Democratic party. When it comes to who is more or less qualified on the parts of these candidates, yes Tracy is currently a Deputy Coroner and has been for 12 years but does that mean she's "qualified"? How active has she been with the department for those 12 years? How many scenes has she been on? Did she ever partake in any of the murder cases Dearborn County had in the last few years? Yes, she's been an RN and Nursing Supervisor and such, but for how long at the same place? All of these types of things show stability of a person, can give a little insight into their character, and how they will be in a position of this capacity. I've heard she once served in the military don't know that to be factual and if it is why it's never been mentioned. That's a very commendable job to have held. What I'm getting at is she may be a lot more qualified than Callahan and Ridgeway or it may be just the difference of her having the death investigator certification and they don't. I am still currently gathering facts myself on who to vote for, but it would be nice to have just that "FACTS" so a smart decision could be made.
