I have got to totally D-I-S-A-G-R-E-E with you on this 100,000%. First, of all what law enforcement does is a very, very thankless job. They put their lives on the line everytime they call on duty. They never know what kind of idiot they are going to face when pulling over someone for a traffic violation or when responding to a call to a home. They however, never waiver and always go in to meet whatever situation head on. The police departments set up their budgets every year and fuel is one of the things included in their budget. I would like to know if any of you on here spouting your mouths off know what the average salary of a policeman is. Well, I will tell you not anywhere near what it should be. I see nothing wrong with off duty use of police vehicles. I've seen alot of offcers helping people while off duty and this is more the reason to commend and be thankful for our officers. I definitely think more of a presence around schools and just in general will be nothing but beneficial. I can think of a hell of alot more things taxes are being wasted on that we could definitely cut than this.
