(Hanover, Ind.) - An ex-student at Hanover College has been sentenced for a breaking into a dorm at the school and stabbing a student.
Demetrius Jones of Columbus was given a two year prison sentence by a judge in Jefferson County on Wednesday, 95.3 WIKI reported. Jones, 22, had pleaded guilty in July to a felony charge of Criminal Recklessness for the October 2011 attack.

Jones has also been ordered to pay $3,156 in restitution to the victim, Vincent Johnson.

Jones � who had been going to Hanover in pursuit of an education degree � can have the conviction reduced from a Class C felony to a Class A misdemeanor if he stays out of trouble for the next three years and pays the restitution. Prosecutor Chad Lewis said the sentence is balanced enough to allow Jones to seek future employment as a teacher, a profession which most states require applicants to be free of any felony convictions.

The stabbing followed a confrontation at a fraternity party earlier in the evening.

Now who wants this guy teaching in their school 3 years from now? Can I get a show of hands? Makes you wonder why in the world bad shit would ever happen in a school huh!
