It makes no difference if you are liberal, conservative, libertarian, independent, moderate, radical, or anywhere in between. This is a decision that should outrage all of us. Think what you want about Brewington, The State of Indiana has ruled that an elected officials "fear" is a determining factor in what, or how much we can say about our elected officials. The Indiana Appellate Court simply ignored the 1st amendment of The U.S. Constitution in order to keep Brewington in state prison for criticizing elected officials. In Indiana, those elected officials are now free to comb the internet for speech they feel might be too critical of them, claim to be "afraid" of the words, then have the prosecutor arrest and imprison the author. Gun rights advocates, anti-abortion advocates, or any advocate of any cause should feel sick about this ruling. It makes no difference if you have a law degree or don't even know how to read, we can all understand how wrong this decision really is for our democracy. Negangard and Humphrey's unwavering vindictiveness towards Brewington now limits all of our citizens' rights to criticize our own government. They should be shamed out of office.
